Eat · Grow · Survive

Deep Hunger is a mobile game concept built around one rule of the food chain: eat what is smaller than you, and flee from what is larger. Each short run starts with a vulnerable creature in an unforgiving underwater world.

Hunting helps you grow, but size changes which creatures threaten you and which routes you can use. The goal is a tense cycle of risk, escape and discovery that works in short sessions.

A run beneath the surface

The planned runs take place in partly randomized caves and open water. Narrow passages offer a way out when a larger predator closes in; open stretches make hunting and travel riskier.

Temporary mutations could change how a run plays out: faster swimming, a stronger jaw or bioluminescence are among the ideas under exploration. Hunger, health and an ecosystem of creatures give each decision a consequence.

Designed for mobile

The project is being designed as a standalone touch-controlled roguelite with quick growth and compact runs. Its movement, food-chain rules and creature behavior can also help test ideas for a separate, larger underwater game later.
