Forge the defense. Escalate the battle.
Towerforge Arena is a game concept in which two players build defenses and send increasingly dangerous waves toward each other. Every enemy defeated helps drive the next attack on the opposing side, so an effective defense also becomes an offensive weapon. The match continues until one defense collapses.
Before a match, you choose a small set of your own tower blueprints. A blueprint can be built several times during play; the limited selection makes preparation and the ways your constructions support each other part of the strategy.
The tower itself is your build
A base determines a tower's appearance and firing behavior. Modules reshape how it works: projectiles might split, explode, chain between targets or apply effects, while other components change range or firing rhythm. The aim is to combine behaviors rather than simply increase a damage number.
The same module can be purchased and fitted more than once to stack its effect. Tower development and additional module slots open up more combinations, allowing a modest construction to become an extravagant machine. The final bases, modules and stacking rules still need to be designed; familiar weapon examples are starting points.
Your victories feed the next wave
Several enemy types enter the arena, with automatic spawns maintaining pressure alongside the attacks triggered by kills. A visible next-enemies queue lets players anticipate what is coming. As the battle progresses, both the strength and number of enemies increase without a planned hard cap.
Later waves can gain random resistances and immunities, with more modifiers appearing as escalation continues. These are intended to vary the threats rather than adapt specifically to the damage used by one player.
An alternative being explored lets players construct their attacking creatures as well as their towers. In that version, defeated enemies contribute their value toward a spawn budget: many small creatures cannot each produce an expensive behemoth. The relationship between this budget, the queue and automatic waves remains a design question.
A broader collection, a fair starting point
Between matches, resources earned through play buy new bases and modules directly. Collection growth is intended to expand the ways you can build, with repeated module purchases supporting stacking.
The PvP goal is to keep time spent collecting from turning into an unbeatable statistical advantage. A common starting level and slot allowance, followed by uncapped development earned during each match, is the direction under consideration. The exact progression and economy still need to be worked out.
An arena above the clouds
The supplied artwork explores monumental floating fortresses, stone bridges, crystal cores and arcane machinery. Blue and red energy distinguish the opposing sides, while mechanical weapons and magical effects share the same battlefield.
A magical engineering world and an interdimensional arena competition are possible foundations for the setting. The world, visual language and unusual module identities are the next design priorities; the images show the intended atmosphere and interface ideas at this early concept stage.
