#7

Card System

Please select a variation from the list above to view its rules.

Idea #1: Losing Most Valuable Officers → Clothing Loss

Players assign pieces to clothing items in reverse order based on the total number of garments they are currently wearing. If an assigned piece is captured, a garment must be removed.

  • If 1 garment King Only when King is checkmated
  • If 2 garments Queen 2. garment
  • If 3 garments Second Rook 3. garment
  • If 4 garments First Rook 4. garment
  • If 5 garments Last minor piece Knight or Bishop
  • If 6 garments Second to last minor piece Knight or Bishop

Gameplay Structure

1

Initial Clothing Count

Players count their garments and assign pieces to their clothing layers based on the reverse matrix.

2

Standard Movement

The chess game starts and proceeds according to standard rules.

3

Shedding Garments

When an assigned piece is captured, you must remove the corresponding layer of clothing.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #2: Capturing a Piece → Clothing Loss, Attacking Piece Banned

When the opponent captures your piece, you can choose between two tactical sacrifice tiers by paying with your garments:

Option 1: Sacrifice 1 Garment

The capturing enemy piece is banished from the game (though your captured piece remains lost).

Option 2: Sacrifice 2 Garments

The capturing enemy piece is banished, AND your own piece stays on the board (the capture is cancelled).

Gameplay Structure

1

Capture Event

The opponent performs a capture on one of your key board pieces.

2

Decision Phase

Decide whether to let the piece go, or sacrifice clothing to activate Option 1 or Option 2.

3

Execution

After removing the garments, the enemy attacking piece is removed from the board.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #3: Capturing a Piece → Clothing Loss, Captured Piece Swappable

When the opponent captures a piece, sacrifice a garment to swap the captured piece's position with another of your pieces currently on the board. The opponent's piece remains, but coordinates are swapped.

Gameplay Structure

1

Capture Notification

The opponent moves and captures your piece.

2

Position Swap

By removing a garment, you nominate another of your active pieces on the board to swap.

3

Rearrangement

The captured piece is placed on the coordinate of your nominated piece, and the nominated piece moves to the capture square.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #4: Opponent's Move → Compelled Move at the Cost of Clothing

When the opponent makes a move, you can sacrifice a garment to veto it: that move, in its current form, does not happen. Depending on prior agreement, this can be played in two ways:

Option 1: \"Make a different move\"

The opponent must make any other legal move, which can still be made using the same piece (e.g. moving it to a different square).

Option 2: \"Move a different piece\"

The opponent must make a legal move using an entirely different piece (the vetoed piece is blocked from moving this turn).

Gameplay Structure

1

Opponent Move

The opponent executes a move during their turn.

2

Veto and Sacrifice

Remove a garment, declaring a veto, and force them to choose an alternative move.

3

Alternative Move

The opponent rolls back their move and either plays a different move or moves a different piece based on the chosen mode.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #5: Instead of a Move → Reintroducing a Captured Piece

Instead of taking your standard move, sacrifice a garment to return one of your previously captured pieces to any vacant square on the board.

Gameplay Structure

1

Action Declaration

On your turn, instead of moving, declare you are resurrecting a piece.

2

Sacrifice and Choice

Remove a garment, choose a captured piece, and place it on any empty square.

3

Turn Pass

The resurrected piece cannot move in the same turn. Your turn ends, opponent moves next.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #6: Instead of a Move → Pawn Promotion Anywhere

Instead of a normal move, sacrifice a piece of clothing to promote any of your pawns immediately to a Queen, Rook, Bishop, or Knight, regardless of its position.

Gameplay Structure

1

Declaration

On your turn, instead of moving, declare you are promoting a pawn.

2

Sacrifice and Promotion

Remove a garment, select any of your pawns on the board, and replace it with a major piece.

3

Turn Transition

The newly promoted piece cannot move during this turn. Turn passes to the opponent.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.

Idea #7: Card System & Activatable Effects

At the start of the game, both players draw cards equal to the number of clothing pieces they wear (men: 5, women: 6). Each card represents a unique ability that can be activated in exchange for sacrificing a garment. Once used, the card is discarded.

#1

King's Shield

Your king is protected for one turn: it cannot be checked.

#2

Check Immunity

#3

#4

Double Move

You can make two moves on your next turn (must use different pieces).

#5

Piece Empower

Empower a piece for 1 turn (e.g., a pawn moves like a Queen).

#6

Move Limiter

The opponent is limited to only 2 specific legal moves on their next turn.

#7

Board Reform

Relocate 1-2 of your own pieces on the board (limited to your back two ranks).

#8

Resurrection

Return one randomly selected captured piece back onto the board.

#9

Pawn Freeze

All opponent pawns are frozen and cannot move for 1 turn.

#10

Officer Shield

Your highest value piece cannot be targeted or attacked for 1 turn.

#11

#13

King Magnet

The opponent's king cannot move at all on their next turn.

#14

Piece Clone

A clone of one of your pieces appears on the board for 1 turn.

#15

Check Ban

The opponent is forbidden from checking your king on their next turn.

#16

Temp Promotion

Instantly promote a pawn for a single move/turn.

#17

Undo Move

Force the opponent to undo their last move.

#18

Freeze Piece

Freeze a specific opponent piece; it cannot move for 1 turn.

#19

Combo Strike

One of your pieces can capture multiple opponent pieces in sequence for 1 turn.

#20

King's Moat

A magical shield is created around your king: no piece can enter adjacent squares for 1 turn.

Gameplay Structure

1

Setup & Drawing Cards

Both players count their current layers of clothing and draw the corresponding number of cards.

2

Standard Chess Framework

The game proceeds according to standard chess rules.

3

Activating Cards

By sacrificing (removing) a garment, a player can trigger one of their hand cards. Used cards are permanently discarded.

4

Game Ending

The game runs until checkmate. The checkmated loser strips completely naked.
